You can place pigment perfectly and still lose 40% of it to a client who scrubs their brows on day four. Aftercare is not a leaflet you hand over as an afterthought \u2014 it is half the result. Here is the timeline worth walking every client through before they leave.<\/p>\n

Days 1\u20133: the darkest phase<\/h2>\n

The area looks noticeably darker and bolder than the final result. This is normal \u2014 pigment sits in the epidermis as well as the dermis at this stage, and the top layer will shed. Lymph fluid may weep in the first hours; blotting gently with clean gauze keeps it from forming heavy scabs.<\/p>\n

Days 4\u20137: flaking begins<\/h2>\n

Light flaking starts, and this is where results are won or lost. The client must not pick, scratch or peel. Every flake removed early takes settled pigment with it and leaves a gap that will need correcting.<\/p>\n

Days 8\u201314: the “ghosting” stage<\/h2>\n

Once the flakes are gone, the brows often look far too light \u2014 sometimes almost invisible. Clients panic here. Explain in advance that new epidermis is covering the pigment and that colour resurfaces as the skin settles. Nobody should judge a result before day 28.<\/p>\n
